Carrus Rehabilitation Hospital provides a place for you to achieve your highest level of independence as you recover in a safe and secure environment. Carrus’ interdisciplinary rehabilitation team is led by a board certified, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician. Your rehabilitation team consists of physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, pharmacist, social worker, case manager and nursing along with other team members who provide comprehensive, patient-focused rehabilitation. We value your opinion and welcome input from you, your family or caregivers. The professionals on our team will assess your medical and rehabilitation needs and work with you to establish your individual goals. Working in close collaboration, the team will design and implement your treatment program. Throughout your treatment, the entire team will meet formally once per week to discuss your progress.

After a one or two week stay at Carrus Rehabilitation Hospital, the majority of patients return home. We serve young adults from the age of seventeen years through the elderly with diagnoses such as stroke, traumatic and non-traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, neuromuscular disease, amputation, trauma, orthopedics and medical deconditioning and other disabling conditions.

Carrus’ stroke program focuses on comprehensive rehabilitation that will prevent secondary complications and maximizes your recovery for a quality life. Neuromuscular Disease

At Carrus Hospital your rehabilitation team will devise a comprehensive individualized physical therapy, occupation therapy and speech therapy program to maximize your potential outcomes and provide you with tools and support to maintain quality of life. Neuromuscular diseases like spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT), myasthenia gravis (MS), muscular dystrophy (MD) affects parts of the nerves and muscles.
